Founded in 1995, Seaman Engineering Corp. is a mechanical engineering firm specializing in the design and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for new and existing commercial and public buildings. Seaman Engineering was established to meet the needs of clients who desire a company that provides coordinated, timely, and competitive full-service engineering capabilities. We offer a broad spectrum of services, including master planning, building structure and system audits, analysis and design, energy and operating cost analysis, and quality assurance reviews.
Our experience encompasses all aspects of building mechanical systems for colleges and universities, apartment buildings, hospitals, nursing homes, fire stations, banks, health clubs, YMCAs, senior centers, office buildings, town halls, and courthouses. Our primary clients are architects, municipal, industrial facility & property managers, and building owners. We are attentive to our clients' needs and project budget constraints, developing creative designs and effective solutions to complex challenges.
As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Accredited Professionals on staff, we are equipped to serve clients throughout the United States. Kevin Seaman, P.E. LEED® AP

Kevin is the President of Seaman Engineering. He is a registered Professional Mechanical Engineer in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, with more than 25 years of experience. Kevin is an expert in all building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection engineering, design, and construction support. He is responsible for project management oversight, project reviews, mechanical design, and serves as the primary point of contact for all client communications. Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
In addition to being a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Accredited Professional, Kevin is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
Kevin remains actively involved with his sons' former Scouting America troop and greatly enjoys outdoor activities such as camping and hiking.
Debra Seaman

Debra is the Vice President and CFO responsible for all financial, Human Resources and overall management of the company. She has been with the company since 2007, joining her husband Kevin in this highly successful business venture. Continuing Education is very important to Debra, she continues to study to improve herself both professionally and personally. Currently, she is enrolled in a four year program in Hartford, CT. A long-time resident of Auburn, MA, she is very active in her community with the Auburn Chamber of Commerce, School Council, Boy Scouts and church programs. Debra is also involved with a private foundation that serves children in need. She was the executive administrator of an international healing ministry for Father Ralph DiOrio, Jr. With all that she has achieved, Debra believes the most important role she can hold is that of a wife and mother. She cherishes every moment with her family whether biking, hiking, camping, celebrating, or just relaxing. Debra’s dream would be to own a place by the ocean where family, friends and community can come to escape the stresses of everyday life.

Christopher Robinson, P.E.

Christopher is Director of Engineering and specializes in engineering, fire protection, plumbing, and HVAC system design. He manages projects from design conception through construction and certificate of occupancy, and also reviews designs to ensure code compliance and quality. Chris has been with Seaman Engineering since 1996.
A member of the Pi Tau Sigma Honor Society, Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1992 and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1993. He received his Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering in 1999.
A resident of Dudley, Mass., Chris has two children and is active in the choir and auditing committee at his church, the First Congregational Church of Dudley.
Derek Mathieu

Derek specializes in project engineering and management, as well as computer-aided design (CAD). He has more than 25 years of industry experience and has been with Seaman Engineering since 2010.
Derek began his career working for his family's HVAC company, where he was involved in the installation and service of residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC systems. He later joined a Massachusetts-based architectural firm, where he worked as a designer, program coordinator, and CAD drafter before joining Seaman Engineering.
A resident of Mason, New Hampshire, Derek graduated from Vermont Technical College in 2001. He is also the co-owner of an equestrian facility.
Matthew Seaman

Matthew, a proud member of the Seaman family, specializes in AutoCAD drafting, HVAC load calculations, and mechanical system design. He has been with Seaman Engineering since 2012, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of the business.
Matt graduated from Quinsigamond Community College and is continuing his studies part-time at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where he is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is working toward his goal of becoming a licensed Professional Engineer.
A resident of Auburn, Mass., Matt enjoys spending his free time with family and friends and remaining actively involved in his community.
Christopher Seaman

Chris, another proud member of the family, specializes in drawing coordination with clients, field surveying, and CAD and Revit 3D drafting and modeling. He has been with Seaman Engineering since 2012.
A graduate of Porter and Chester Institute, Chris earned certificates in HVAC/R and CAD and also holds a Universal Refrigerant EPA Certification.
A resident of Auburn, Mass., he enjoys spending time with family and friends and taking advantage of opportunities to travel.
Frank Gleason

Frank supports the mechanical design team using both AutoCAD and Revit to coordinate ductwork, plumbing, and piping systems within building projects. He has been with Seaman Engineering since 2018.
A graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Porter and Chester Institute, Frank holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
An avid basketball fan, Frank enjoys hiking and traveling to as many places as possible.
Lynn Lorusso

Lynn assists with the day-to-day management functions of the company and is responsible for accounts receivable and inventory control. She has been a valuable member of the team since 2019.
A graduate of Dean College, Lynn is active in her church community. She is a past president of the Women’s Guild and has worked with the youth group. She also provides administrative support and participates in the Cursillo Course in Christianity program.
Lynn has received the Stewardship Award for service to others, as well as an Employee Recognition Award during her employment with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
